This photo is a handwritten note sent by a North Korean believer not long ago. These are all Bible verses. Our missionary received the note directly from this field worker. It was surprising. “When I said it would be good to take a picture showing that the ministry funds were delivered to you. He then sat down and wrote a line, asking me to give him this note rather than a picture. These are the words of the Bible. Ultimately, North Korean believers are reciting all these words.” I am also thankful that they keep their faith by longing for and memorizing the Bible verses they have.
As Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, and the people whom the LORD has chosen as his inheritance,” God who raises up a people of faith in North Korea despite opposition from all sides, I praise you.”
I pray that North Korea's doors will swing wide open as the year progresses so that more Bibles will be sent to North Korea and that believers will be comforted and strengthened through them. Oh, God, please protect those who walk with faith in God during hardships in North Korea. Also, please increase Your mercy so that the Word of God and what they need are sent to them. May believers who are still maintaining their faith connect and build each other up even in the midst of persecution.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
