Martyrdom in North Korea is an ongoing reality

The International Christian Persecution Surveillance Group, 'Release International', has designated North Korea as a mass-producing country for modern Christian martyrs. The group said, "The situation (of North Korean Christians) is cruel." Despite these real dangers, it is amazing that the people continue to decide to follow Christ.” In addition, 250,000 prisoners in 14 prison camps in North Korea have lost their lives due to disease, hunger and abuse, of which 50,000 to 70,000 are estimated to be Christians. Pray that Christian prisoners in North Korea will stand firm on the faith and follow Jesus Christ to the end.

20 as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:20-21)

Lord, we pray the fullness of the Holy Spirit will be present with the North Korea Underground believers who are imprisoned by confessing their Christian faith. Let them to wear full armor of Holy Spirit and look upon the Glory of the Lord that they will join with Christ in future.

Lord, we cannot participate in the actual sufferings of the underground believers in North Korea, but we will join them in prayer every day. We lift up your name for the faith of North Korean Underground believer. It will never be ashamed because we have a Father who already won the persecution and the death on the cross.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
