Living quarters of captured North Korean POWs and Ukrainian soldiers seen from behind

Two North Korean prisoners of war, captured during the Russia-Ukraine war, arrived safely in South Korea in September 2026. We pray that they may fully recover from the physical and mental wounds they experienced during the war and captivity and settle into a stable life, and that their families remaining in North Korea may be protected and not suffer hardship because of their choice. Furthermore, we pray that other young people in North Korea will not be used as tools in a war they did not choose.

"Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Deliver the weak and the needy; rescue them from the hand of the wicked."

Psalms 82:3–4

We pray that the two North Korean POWs who have come to South Korea may be restored in body and mind, and that their families in North Korea may be safely protected. Above all, may these two men hear the Gospel in South Korea, come to meet Jesus Christ, and enjoy the true freedom and life that God gives. Moreover, please remember the North Korean soldiers who are still on the battlefield against their will, and grant them the grace to hear the Gospel of truth, receive salvation, and gain eternal life.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen!
