Thursday: Wrote the memorized scripture on a piece of paper and burn it!

“When I am overwhelmed and weep alone, I think of our Lord, who sacrificed Himself for me, and I say, “I should not do this,” and I wrote the words I have memorized on a piece of paper and burned it. No matter what storms come, the truth is engraved in my heart, and I will not change it, and the truth will surely triumph.” This is part of a letter I received not long ago from a member of the underground church in North Korea.

Praise be to God, the God of my fathers, to whom I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and strength, and have revealed to me now what we have asked of You; indeed, You have revealed to us what the King has commanded, as Daniel 2:23 says, “You have given me wisdom and strength, and have revealed to me now what we have asked of You.” Praise be to God, who is glorified today through the underground church and its saints who are keeping the faith in North Korea. Please give the members of the underground church in North Korea, who are discouraged but regain strength by writing down the words of God they are reciting and reflecting on them, the peace of the Lord that the world cannot give them and give them victory and triumph through the word of God. God, who knows the situation of those who have to be burned for their safety, please grant them the grace to open the doors of North Korea so that the believers can gather together and worship freely, and so that all the churches that have been destroyed in North Korea can be rebuilt.
