“A meeting of the Workers’ Party was held stating that the food issue would remain a state of emergency as it is unlikely that customs will be opened until 2025. Residents who are currently suffering from the severe shortage of daily necessities and food shortages are in a critical situation that may not get them through this winter safely. Therefore, the people are strongly protesting that ordering them to wait until 2025 is simply a death sentence to them,” reported Free Asia Broadcasting, citing sources from Sinuiju and Hoeryong. We pray that food and the word will be supplied to save the starving people in North Korea.
“How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.” Psalm 104:24,27-28.
God, who feeds your creations, remember your people in the north, who have been driven into extreme economic conditions. Hear their groanings, who are struggling to survive this imminent winter. We pray that they may receive your help in time of need. When the hunger of the body is filled with food, may the hunger of the spirit also be filled with the word, so that they can receive the blessings of eternal life.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
