[Prayer] May Surveillance Cameras Not Hinder the Spread of the Gospel

“In North Korea, since the end of August, there has been a noticeable increase in the installation of surveillance cameras at 'Revolutionary History Research Lab,' around statues, and in crowded public places. They are high-performance models made in China with facial recognition capabilities. A blue square appears around a face, and when clicked, security or state security agents can check it at any time.” A Japanese media outlet specializing in North Korea reported that high-performance surveillance cameras in the northern regions of North Korea have been upgraded to high-performance models and the number of installation sites has significantly increased.

If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.

O God,

High-performance surveillance cameras have been greatly increased in North Korea, making the network for watching residents much tighter. We ask that You prevent these cameras from being used as tools for oppressing the residents, and especially that they may not interfere with the faith life of the believers. When they gather for worship or share the Gospel, protect both the hearers and the sharers, keeping them safe, and guard important information from being discovered. God, You make the night bright as the day, please shine the light of the Gospel into that place, which has been darkened by surveillance and oppression.
