[Prayer] Declaring That God Is Stronger Than the Nuclear Weapons North Korea Boasts

Over the past several years, the development and possession of nuclear weapons have become the primary source of North Korea’s formidable power. By using nuclear capabilities to engage in brinkmanship diplomacy, they have employed them as a decisive card to secure what they desire from the surrounding great powers, particularly the United States, and they continue to use them as a threat today. Yet, even if North Korea threatens South Korea with thousands of nuclear weapons, they cannot surpass God’s power. Unless God permits, nuclear weapons are nothing more than lumps of metal; ultimately, the praying knees of God’s people—who share His heart and vision—will open the gates of North Korea and pour oil on God’s plan to bring about its restoration.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.”

2 Corinthians 10:4–6

We declare that the nuclear weapons North Korea relies on are nothing but mere metal in the hand of God. We proclaim in faith that the strong hand and mighty arm of God are the true security of this nation. Lord, who holds the power of life and death and the destiny of the Korean Peninsula, may those who boast of nuclear weapons tremble in fear before Your works and power.
