Families of Defectors are Forced to Relocate Inland to Prevent Further Defection

During the covid period, North Korea has blocked land, sea, and air, has established three to four layers of blockades on the border, and has deployed to the border public security agencies, special forces such as the 'Storm Corps', and some of the 7th Corps, a rear unit. In addition, a 3-meter-high 'L'-shaped concrete barbed wire was constructed in two layers across the border between North Korea and China. Cell phone users and brokers contacting the outside are being raided and arrested in the border area. There was even a proclamation that any person or animal approaching the border without permission can be shot down. Recently, families with two or more members who have defected are being forced to move inland away from the border to prevent further defections. We pray that a way will be opened to physically and spiritually help the North Koreans under strict surveillance and heavy border control.

“Who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.” 1 Timothy 2:4-6

Lord, we pray that everyone in North Korea will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Please open the way for the delivery of the Bible, which is currently blocked by three to four layers of blockades. May the gospel be heard in the ears of every soul in North Korea, so that they may come to know Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom. We also pray that the way to deliver food and daily necessities to North Koreans will open and may they experience your love and grace.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
