International Christian Concern, a Christian-based human rights organization, has named Kim Jong-un as the world's worst persecutor of Christianity. Thousands of North Koreans under Kim Jong-un have lost their lives, been tortured, and sentenced to long-term forced labor because of their faith. The organization also pointed out that women have had to kill their newborn babies themselves. If anyone in North Korea is caught talking about their faith or possessing a Bible, they are sentenced to torture, life imprisonment, execution, and three generations of life imprisonment. We pray that North Korea's sin of oppressing God's people will stop.
“Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me.” Psalm 142:6
Lord, we call upon you, who hears the cries of the people. With your justice, we pray that you break the pride and stiff necks of those who have persecuted and executed Christians since the liberation of Korea. We pray that the sin of persecuting Christians and believers will stop in North Korea, and we pray that you protect the underground church and the members who are still secretly keeping their faith. May you comfort all those who call on your name.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
