The 80th anniversary military parade of the Workers' Party of Korea

North Korea has resumed ballistic missile testing after five months. On October 22, it fired several projectiles presumed to be short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea, but the launched missiles reportedly fell on the inland territory, not in the East Sea. South Korean military authorities are analyzing the possibility that they are the new type of tactical ballistic missile, 'Hwasongpo-11da-4.5', which North Korea test-fired on September 18 last year. This show of force is attracting attention as it takes place ahead of the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit in Gyeongju. "Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings, from the wicked who do me violence, my deadly enemies who surround me."

Psalm 17:7–9

Lord, we pray that you would break the North's increasingly advanced, high-tech weapons with Your right hand, and that North Korea's scheme to use military force as a bargaining chip will collapse. May North Korea's powerful weapons they rely on be rendered useless, and may they see the wondrous steadfast love of God, who saves and protects.

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
