May the gospel broadcasts be activated so that the Good news may be proclaimed.

Radio Free Asia (RFA), which had long been a channel for North Koreans to receive outside news, ceased broadcasting in early July due to a change in U.S. government policy. As a result, the North Korean people expressed deep disappointment and frustration, saying, “We used to turn on the radio after midnight or in the early morning, tuning in to catch news from the lower town (South Korea) and world events which we couldn't know here. And it served as a measure to gauge the distorted political reality. With the halt of the broadcast, the window for communicating with the outside world has closed. We are so disappointed we feel like life isn't worth living." We pray that gospel broadcasts into North Korea will be activated more so that the land and its people may be brought under the Lordship of Christ.

"Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him."

Isaiah 40:9-10

May this message be heard by the oppressed people of the North, who have lived as slaves for 80 years of division. May they hear the proclamation: “Your God is coming. He reigns.” We pray that the gospel broadcasts to North Korea will be activated more and that all the people will hear the Good news. May the word of God pierce their hearts, leading them to salvation in faith through Jesus Christ.
