May the Spiritual Waves of the Gospel Spread Through North Korean Believers

According to the 2025 White Paper on Religious Freedom in North Korea, religious activities carry severe consequences: 3.5% (530 people) were sentenced to labor training camps, 11.8% (1,718 people) to re-education camps, and 47.5% (7,245 people) to political prison camps. Since religious activity in North Korea is viewed as an anti-state crime, possession of a Bible can even lead to execution. One North Korean defector testified that in 2019, a group was completely dismantled in Pyongyang on charges of secretly operating an underground church; five leaders were publicly executed, while the rest were sent to prison camps. We pray that God’s power is poured out upon North Korean believers so they may overcome suffering and that the spiritual ripples of the Gospel spread through them.
"Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb."
Revelation 14:1, 4
We lift up in prayer the believers in North Korea who follow wherever Jesus leads. Pour out God’s power upon the suffering underground believers in North Korea and the Lord’s children imprisoned in political prison camps, so that they may more than overcome death and persecution. May Your grace, peace, and joy overflow beyond the high walls and watchful eyes. Let the name of Jesus be the hope for every oppressed soul who hears the Gospel through them, and let the spiritual waves of the Gospel spread across North Korea.
In Jesus Christ’s name, we pray. Amen!
