North Korea Escalates Tensions with ICBM Provocations

The South Korean and U.S. defense ministers have released an unprecedented judgment that North Korea's intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) provocation is imminent. Experts believe that the Hwasong-17 ICBM, which first appeared at the parade on the founding day of the Labor Party in 2020, will be launched. Kim Jong-un recently visited the Dongchang-ri ICBM launch site and ordered that it be expanded to launch a variety of rockets. A movement to restore some of the tunnels destroyed at the Punggye-ri nuclear test site and to operate the Yongbyon nuclear complex facility was also detected. We pray that North Korea's provocation plan will fail and that North and South Korea will become united through the gospel to glorify God.

“You, Lord, are my lamp; the Lord turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.” 2 Samuel 22:29-31

Lord, we pray for North Korea showing signs of provocation. Please destroy all their plans to develop nuclear missiles and their plan to restore nuclear test sites. May the North and the South be united only through the gospel, so that together they can exalt God and reveal the glory of God.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
