[Prayer] Borders Sealed Tight, Leaving People in Deep Anxiety

“Last year, I established three churches in two regions of North Korea and provided renewed support to five underground churches. However, for some reason, North Korea has sealed its borders tight, and the goods we purchased cannot enter. With both smuggling and customs blocked, the residents are pacing in helpless anxiety. Surveillance has intensified, and brokers are being arrested, so your prayers are desperately needed.” We pray with this heartbreaking news shared by a missionary for North Korean defectors at the conclusion of 2025.

“The earth quakes before them; the heavens tremble. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining. The LORD utters his voice before his army, for his camp is exceedingly great; he who executes his word is powerful. For the day of the LORD is great and very awesome; who can endure it?”

We bring the situation of North Korea—where borders are blockaded with iron-fisted surveillance—before the Lord in petition. We praise You for breaking through these sealed borders to deliver the Gospel, comforting the faithful and allowing Your church to be established. Grant believers the strength and power to stand firm in God and move forward, and work through them to plant even more churches. We pray that the tightly closed borders will open soon so the Gospel may be shared through various channels and, above all, that Bibles may be sent to comfort the people of faith.
