[Prayer] Forgive the Sin of Proclaiming Kim Il-sung to be the God of North Korea

"I believe that 'God is President Kim Il-sung.' As a person of faith and a Christian, I come to this house (church) with the heart that 'the God in my soul is President Kim Il-sung,' and I hold the desire to believe in and serve him even better. And I do not believe that because Jesus died, I will be reborn. In this age of science, who would believe that a person could die and come back to life?" This was stated by Ri Seong-suk, a lead instructor of the North Korean Christian Federation and an evangelist at Bongsu Church, during an interview with foreign journalists during the Day of the Sun festival in Pyongyang in the spring of 1995.

"And they said to me, 'The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire.' As soon as I heard these words I sat down and wept and mourned for days, and I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven. And I said, 'O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments...'"

Nehemiah 1:3-5

We epent in the name of Jesus Christ for the sin of defining the purpose of the North Korean Christian Federation as serving the Leader rather than God. We ask for Your forgiveness as we repent in the name of Jesus Christ for the sins of the pastors and evangelists within the North Korean Christian Federation who officially denied God and proclaimed Kim Il-sung to be the God of North Korea.
