[Prayer] Lord, put an end to the evil of treating human life as a means of earning foreign currency

“It has been estimated that North Korea is earning approximately 60 billion KRW per month, and around 7.3 trillion KRW annually, in exchange for dispatching about 15,000 troops to Russia. It is also known that for those who die during their deployment, the regime receives an additional condolence payment of 6,000 to 10,000 USD per individual.

Most of this income is settled not in cash but through goods like oil, diesel, flour, and industrial parts. The regime values each soldier’s life in mere thousands of dollars and even includes condolence payments in its state budget. This is according to a report by Daily NK, citing a high-ranking source inside North Korea.

“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” (Proverbs 6:16–19)

God, who hates the shedding of innocent blood and judges all wrongdoing, please have mercy on North Korean soldiers and their families suffering as victims of the war in Russia.

Let the North Korean regime quickly stop using its people's lives as a way to earn money, and may the alliance between North Korea and Russia and the war itself come to an end.
