Recently, a series of shocking incidents have occurred in rural North Korea, where newborn babies wrapped in blankets have been found abandoned. According to DailyNK sources, "Autumn, the harvest season, is traditionally the time in rural areas when food worries are at their lowest. However, the food left after paying the state taxes is barely enough to last a month or two, and with mounting debts, the situation becomes increasingly dire. This leads to such tragic events."
“Therefore you shall do my statutes and keep my rules and perform them, and then you will dwell in the land securely. The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and dwell in it securely.”
Leviticus 25:18-19
We lift up the heartbreaking situation in North Korea, where people, driven by hunger, abandon their children in desperation. We pray that the love of Jesus Christ, who bore the cross for sinners, and God's command not to commit evil, be delivered to the people of North Korea. May they follow these words and honor the sanctity of life, thereby receiving grace to overcome the food crisis and live safely.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
