The heavy burden of survival: North Korean women transporting firewood amidst ongoing social mobilization and the freezing of local markets.

With markets already frozen, North Koreans are crying out in distress as various social mobilizations continue. Residents in North Hamgyong Province, for example, are being called away for national projects such as logging in mountainous areas and preparing winter supplies. Because of these mobilizations, people are losing the time they need to conduct business. Since trade is already difficult, this creates a vicious cycle where they cannot earn an income, making their daily lives even harder.

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord..."

Jeremiah 29:12–14

We petition You to judge the evil actions of the North Korean regime that blocks the people's way of making a living through constant regulations and mobilizations. Hear the cries of the oppressed people now, break the power of evil, and let them come to know You, becoming a blessed people who enjoy salvation and eternal life.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
