[Prayer] May the Sin of Praising the Leader Come to an End

Daily NK reports that North Korean authorities are taking harsh measures against youth who nod off during "Film Literature Study." These sessions involve watching documentary films about Kim Jong Un’s revolutionary activities and achievements to praise his leadership and strengthen loyalty. Those who cannot overcome their sleepiness during these sessions are treated as having serious political issues and are forced onto "ideological struggle" stages.

"Behold, they are all a delusion; their works are nothing; their metal images are empty wind. Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations." Isaiah 41:29–42:1

God, as spoken in this Word, may the Sin of Idolatry, Praising the Leader—elevating the Kim family through leader worship—no longer be committed in North Korea. Have mercy on the suffering residents; let the Gospel spread throughout the North so they may come to know You and enjoy the blessings of salvation.
