[Prayer] May the Word of Truth Spread Despite Strong Control

"North Korea has enacted 'three major repressive laws' to force young people to fit their entire lives including clothing, speech, leisure, and relationships into a 'socialist lifestyle.'

However, the stronger the crackdown, the more non-socialist the youth's appearance becomes, and South Korean speech patterns are frequently used. Furthermore, living in a society with an opaque and anxious future, North Korean youth are turning to fortune-telling, which is forbidden by law, to find direction or relieve their frustrated hearts to endure the harsh reality." These were compiled by research team of Cornerstone Ministries under the title “Youth Control and Reality in North Korea.”

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They shall spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams.”

Isaiah 44:3-4

Lord, we lift up the youth of North Korea who are lost and anxious under heavy control. Please have mercy on their suffering, wandering, and weariness. Let them encounter the gospel, when they wander looking for comfort and peace. and grant them the blessing of remembering and relying on God in their youth. Thus, may the next generation be prepared, whom God will use when the day comes that You renew North Korea through the gospel, Word of Truth.
