[Prayer] May They Realize the Truth and Turn to God

“There is no nation in the world as great, magnificent, and glorious as our (North Korean) republic. The dairy products supplied daily to children, the uniforms, shoes, bags, and school supplies given to students, the splendidly built orphanages, nurseries, and nursing homes, the palace-like new homes provided free of charge—all these benefits of love are offered only in a nation that spares nothing for its people.” This was the explanation given by a lecturer during a study session based on the lyrics of the “Song of the Motherland,” which North Korean authorities introduced for the first time on the anniversary of the founding of the Labour Party last year.

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4–6).

We praise God's great mercy and grace, who loved us even when we were sinners, saved us, and made us His children. May the evil acts of North Korea, which suppress and persecute people to keep them from knowing this God, come to an end. And may the North Korean people break free from false propaganda and deception, realize the truth, and return to God.
