[Prayer] May They Realize That God Is the One to Truly Fear

In late March, North Korea unveiled a test of a new carbon-fiber solid-fuel engine designed for Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs), announcing that the updated engine's maximum thrust reached 2,500 kN (kilonewtons). Amid the protracted war in the Middle East, this move is seen as an attempt to demonstrate the advancement of its ICBM capabilities including multiple warhead capabilities and its ability to strike the U.S. mainland, with the intention of preventing the U.S. from intervening on the Korean Peninsula. North Korea’s efforts to protect itself through nuclear weapons, maintain its regime through tension, and seek opportunities amid chaos reveal just how unstable its foundation truly is.

"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way,"

1 Timothy 2:1–2

we pray for the leaders of the nations and for North Korea, trusting in God alone who rules and governs all things amidst these turbulent times. Grant North Korea the grace to realize that God is the One who should truly be feared, so that their foolish and evil actions trying to preserve their regime with nuclear weapons and neglecting their people may cease. Even amid the conflict between the United States and Iran, may the Lord’s will be done, and grant God’s wisdom to the leaders so that they may discern the will that pleases God.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
