North Korea has once again been ranked as one of the world's most restrictive countries for freedom. The Freedom House 2024 World Freedom report ranks North Korea as the third most restrictive country out of 195 countries. North Korea is a one-party state led by a totalitarian dictatorship, where surveillance is pervasive, arbitrary arrests and detentions are common, punishment for political crimes is severe, and the country maintains a system of political prison camps where torture, forced labor, starvation, and other brutal practices are common, according to the report. We pray that repression and oppression will cease and that the life and freedom that the gospel brings may fill North Korea.

We pray for the people of North Korea who suffer under extreme oppression and control. Lord! open the doors of North Korea so that the oppression may stop and the gospel may be freely preached, leading to life and liberty. We ask your protection for the persecuted believers and strengthen their faith so that the church may stand firm. May the day of you salvation come quickly.
