[Prayer] Open the way for medicine and food to enter

It is estimated that the tuberculosis (TB) incidence rate in North Korea is 513 cases per 100,000 people—over five times higher than the global average of approximately 100 cases per 100,000. Since 2017, North Korea has been designated as a high-burden country for both general and multidrug-resistant TB for seven consecutive years. Despite the severity of the situation, due to a lack of proper treatment and medication, North Korean TB patients rely on folk remedies such as water celery juice.

“‘For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal,’ declares the Lord, ‘because they have called you an outcast: “It is Zion, for whom no one cares!”’”

Lord, may this word become a source of hope to the tuberculosis patients in North Korea, who have been isolated without proper treatment or medication and are left to await death. Change the hearts of North Korea’s leadership so that the gates may be opened wide for aid and personnel to enter, and so that no more lives are lost to a disease that can be completely cured through consistent treatment. May the way open for medicine, food, and above all, the gospel and bring healing and revival in North Korea.
