[Prayer] Protect Each Precious Soul and Every Single Life

“A North Korean couple in their 50s, known as ‘big shots’ for their successful private business in Pyongyang, were publicly executed. North Korea indicted them for violating the Reactionary Ideology and Culture Rejection Act, accusing them of collaborating with foreign organizations to illegally transfer foreign currency and spread anti-state messages. They also cited complaints that ‘prices were too high and quality was unsatisfactory’ and that ‘their attitude was arrogant.’ As economic hardship worsens, North Korea periodically carries out executions of ‘donju’ (wealthy businesspeople) to divert public discontent toward other targets.” We pray based on this report summarized by our Mission Research Institute.

"for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control"

2 Timothy 1:7

We bring before You the evil and abnormal practices of the North Korean regime, which executes its own citizens by firing squad without any valid standard or basis, simply to extort what it needs and maintain its grip on power. May the wicked deeds of those who attempt to sustain an unstable and crumbling regime through extreme and evil methods come to an end. May the wicked deeds of those who attempt to sustain an unstable and crumbling regime through extreme and evil methods come to an end. Remember those who fell victim to unjust executions and violence, and may North Korea become a land where each soul and every single life which God values above all else is safeguarded and protected.

In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen!
