[Prayer] Repenting for the Sin of Destroying Families and Society through Economic Ruin in North Korea

30-40% of North Korea's entire budget is spent on defense. North Korea operates primarily through its military-industrial complex to expand its arsenal, often causing the general industrial economy to grind to a halt. Around 1995, more than 3.5 million people starved to death in North Korea, and the North Korean economy has remained devastated ever since. This economic collapse eventually struck at the very foundation of society, causing families to scatter. God’s commandments for children to honor their parents and for parents to love their children are not being kept, and that suffering continues today.

"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you"

O God, we repent on behalf of the North Korean authorities in the name of Jesus Christ. Forgive them for indulging in military games and filling their own bellies while ignoring the suffering residents, even though over 3 million died of hunger. We repent on behalf of the sins that caused many couples to separate due to food shortages, destroying Families and leaving 'Kkotjebis' (homeless children) wandering and neglected. Please forgive them.
