[Prayer] Repenting for the Sin of Worshiping and Bowing down to the Kim Il-sung Family

We repent on behalf of North Korea for the sin of forcing idolatry upon its people. The statues of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il erected in Mansudae Square to worship his family—from Kim Il-sung to Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un—as well as Mangyongdae, Kim Il-sung’s birthplace; the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the bodies of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il are enshrined; the Juche Idea Tower; the Tower of Eternal Life, and Mount Paektu—which has been falsely presented as Kim Jong-il’s birthplace—as well as statues, historical sites, revolutionary memorials, and battlefields installed in over 70 major cities across North Korea, including Pyongyang, and the sin of North Korea forcing idolization—we repent of these acts of idolization in the name of Jesus Christ.

“They built the high places of Baal in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to offer up their sons and daughters to Molech, though I did not command them, nor did it enter into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.”

Jeremiah 32:35

We ask for Your forgiveness for the systematic enforcement of worship through massive statues, mosaic murals, Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism Research Rooms, and towers of eternal life spread across the nation. We repent for these sins in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy.
