[Prayer] Reveal Your Glory Through Suffering North Korean Believers

According to Daily NK’s tally, the number of inmates in North Korean political prison camps decreased by approximately 44,000 between June of the year before last and June of last year, despite the admission of about 23,800 new inmates during that period. Chronic food shortages and epidemic outbreaks within the detention facilities are presumed to be the main causes. A significant number of the newly admitted inmates were implicated in anti-state propaganda and incitement, treason, defection, and the viewing or distribution of South Korean videos. Cases continue where not only the individuals concerned but also their families, including parents and children, are subjected to joint responsibility and imprisoned together.

"The Lord of hosts has sworn: 'As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand, that I will break the Assyrian in my land, and on my mountains trample him underfoot; and his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden from their shoulder.' This is the purpose that is purposed concerning the whole earth, and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations."

Isaiah 14:24–26

We pray that the evil of the North Korean regime which frames and imprisons over 20,000 people along with their families in prison camps every year and causes the death of more than 40,000 people will no longer prevail. Strengthen through the Holy Spirit the believers who suffer for the sake of Jesus, and make them those who reveal God's glory to all nations.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
