[Prayer] Surveillance Quotas Assigned to State Security Agents

“It is truly difficult to maintain contact with believers in North Korea. I’ve heard that the government has assigned quotas to State Security officers and ordered them to meet them by any means necessary. In fact, there was a case where someone was caught on video communicating with South Korea. When a North Korean official gave a lecture to the public, he falsely accused this person of selling internal North Korean documents to South Korea, and the entire family disappeared without a trace. That is why North Korean believers are now being cautious not only in their contact with Chinese missionaries but also with North Korean defectors in South Korea, and they need our prayers.” This is the news shared by a missionary working with North Korean defectors. We pray that the surveillance by State Security agents will cease so that they may communicate freely.

We bring before the Lord the situation in North Korea, where communication with Chinese and South Korean missionaries is under strict surveillance. Please cover the North Korean believers with Your protective hand so that their communication with ministers outside the country is not be detected, and protect the underground churches and believers from suffering hardship due to this. In particular, grant Your mercy so that ministers are not exposed during the process of surveillance and confiscation carried out by State Security agents to meet their assigned quotas. Grant them wisdom to carry out their ministry as shrewd as serpents, and have mercy so that the surveillance by security officers ceases before June of this year, allowing them to communicate freely.
