[Prayer] There Are More of the Father’s Children Than We Thought

“The leader of the underground church in Hwanghae Province, which we support, sent us a list of 11 names along with the news that 'there are more of the Father’s children than we thought'—meaning the number of believers has grown. We also received news that two new churches have been planted in Hamgyong Province, in addition to Hwanghae Province.” This is the moving testimony shared by a missionary working with North Korean defectors, who reported that the number of believers in Jesus has grown even under strict surveillance.

“But you have increased the nation, O Lord, you have increased the nation; you are glorified; you have enlarged all the borders of the land. O Lord, in distress they sought you; they poured out a whispered prayer when your discipline was upon them.”

Isaiah 26:15–16

We praise You for allowing the Gospel to spread in North Korea, for the number of believers to grow, and for new churches to be planted in such impossible circumstances. May the Lord protect the believers and let their numbers increase daily so that God's kingdom may be fully established in North Korea.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen!
