North Korean Workers Dispatched Abroad

Daily NK reported that North Korean laborers dispatched to Russia are being subjected to increasingly intense surveillance. Workers who are exposed to foreign media such as South Korean dramas are being repatriated to their homeland. In the workers' dormitories, nightly roll calls are followed by inspections of personal belongings. This has created an oppressive atmosphere in which even speaking a word or using a mobile phone requires extreme caution. As a result, the psychological burden on these workers has reached its peak.

“What gain has the worker from his toil? I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart...”

Ecclesiastes 3:9–11

God, who gave us the word, we entrust to You the North Korean workers sent to Russia, who are living under a regime of intensified surveillance and deep suffering in order to prevent ideological changes or defection. Have mercy on them, Lord. Set free he North Korean workers from the bondage that suppresses their liberty. Furthermore, grant them a longing for eternity, that they may enjoy the blessing of seeking, asking, relying on, and worshipping You.

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
