Before the law on rejecting reactionary ideology and culture was adopted at the end of last year, Kim Jong-un gave an order to “fire gunshots”. Kim Jong-un has taken serious matters on the spreading of distrust of the socialist system among the young generation, and the defecting of the residents who have been awakened to the outside world. Kim Jong-un has given orders to thoroughly track down, punish, and, if necessary, shoot anyone involved with the inflow and dissemination of external cultural content. We pray that the politics of oppression that creates fear through strong ideological control and ruthless punishment will disappear and that North Korea will be evangelized through the word of God.
“Everyone is senseless and without knowledge… The images he makes are a fraud; they have no breath in them. They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish. He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these, for he is the Maker of all things, including the people of his inheritance— the Lord Almighty is his name.” Jeremiah 51:17-19
Lord, we pray that you stop the evil deeds of North Korea maintaining its system by creating a sense of fear through harshly punishing violators of reactionary ideology and culture. We pray that the control and monitoring of thoughts and information of the residents will cease. May the North Koreans, especially the younger generation, escape from Kim Il-sungism and the world's trends, and turn to you, God, who made all things, and may they live a blessed life transformed by your word.
