[Prayer] May They Know God’s Grace Amidst New Arduous March

"I am so exhausted that my tears have run dry. During the first Arduous March, aid came from South Korea, but now they say they won't even seek unification with South Korea and call it a hostile state, so there is nowhere left to hope. Living on watery gruel makes me feel we are going through a new Arduous March." In 2025, the final year of the five-year national economic development plan, Kim Jong-un claimed the plan was "successfully completed." However, residents who experienced record-high market prices lament that it was just another "Arduous March."

"As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal... For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling... so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life."

2 Corinthians 4:18–5:4

We lift up the North Korean people who have endured decades of suffering. We pray for those with nowhere else to rely on; please provide them with food, daily necessities, and medicine to preserve their lives. Even in suffering that exceeds their strength, pour out the grace of knowing God, so they may live by faith, longing for an eternal home in heaven rather than an earthly one.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen!
